Process vs Product

In theory, I am a process knitter.  It leverages time, which flies by too quickly anyway.  Rhythmic motion keeps me focussed on things I’d rather not concentrate.  Other times, click, wrap and pull allows me to escape my circumstances and let my mind wander.  Time on public transit or otherwise waiting becomes moments of pleasurable [...]

1 Vegetable, 3 Continents

Screech!  The Pontiac pulls off the country road and it’s my turn to scramble out of the back seat.  Jumping over the ditch and into the grass, my dad hollers, “over by the post to the left.”
Hmm.  OK.  Left fence post, usually along the fence line, it should peek over the grass line or else, [...]

Podcast is Up!

Join me for “Chatting with Friends!”
Had a wonderful time with a friend this week… many great quotes and impressions during our jaunts.

Just the pill I needed

Wine -n- Wool

Grey skies and dubious weather predictions didn’t dampen the spirits of the Tactile Travelers.  Yarn, fleece and wine were on the horizon!

Plus: the forecast of a beautiful Sunday kept down the mobs on Saturday
Plus: [...]

Have six months already passed since the Tactile Travelers last explored northern Italy?  No way!  There’s always something that prompts a smile inspired by the last Textile Trek.  Let me give you some examples:

George Clooney reminds me of that delicious artichoke and celery salad from the restaurant near Clooney’s house on Lake Como (no, we [...]

And after the Dreamy After Party

Friends, food and quilts were the focus of Sunday’s Open House at Laurena’s Longarm Quilting in Burlington, MA.
At one end of the room was a slide slow of Italian travels, surrounded by quilts inspired by Italy.  At the other, the Gamill longarm purred as folks gave their try at machine quilting.
We chatted about upcoming [...]

When the Dream became Reality!

With needles clicking, wheels spinning and the chocolate fountain flowing
, the dream became reality on Saturday night.  As you can imagine, there were many beautiful FO’s and UFOs in a room full of 150 fiber lovers.  Whoop!  was heard quite a few times in the Atrium Saturday night at the @GuidoS Dreamy After Party.  The door [...]
